HAPI aims to draw our relationship closer to emotion and appreciation to everyday routine life. A great deal of time has been dedicated to trying out effects with distinctive strokes and blending composition, conflicting with a protagonist in tears, expressing to embrace our uncertainty towards this time of the world, while live to appreciate the deeper world around us.
Starting in 2020, when quarantine became the “new normal life”, I began to draw this crying protagonist in different shades, expressing the longing to go out wandering around the city again, dining out again, shopping and be a customer again and reconciling to those “HAPI” and colourful moments we used to experience. This “new normal life” changed the perspective of how I treat the inner and outer world around me. We have taken everything for granted for so long. HAPI also served as a challenge for me to appreciate the everyday object and recognized places through new perspective.
HAPI, at the same time, is a parallel project alongside with the IdVH NFT collection.
